Xtorrent website redesign

New website design for XtorrentThis is just a quick note to mention that I’ve taken some time to redesign the Xtorrent website. The old design was just a temporary thing for the public beta, and now that Xtorrent is maturing, a real design was needed. I hope you like it.

Eduardo...

Congratulations! The website is very beautiful!

Daniel...

I have purchased Xtorrent but got no serial, how do I make the screen (pre-order now and save) to disappear?

Phil...

The new website looks excellent :) And I also just got an XTorrent activation key in my inbox… is it finally coming out of beta?

Nick...

Very cool!

How can I add those sorting folders to my sidebar (with icons). The software, TV shows, Music etc… It looks great..

gm...

Wow you really have got that mac speak down. It’s almost like I can hear Jobs reading this copy in front of a hundred salivating nerds.

David...

Nice design – simple and elegant.

jason...

Looking good. Way to be a kick-ass designer as well as developer.

Jacques...

I must be stupid but i have paid for the torrent Pro ,i have the code registration but i don’t know how to do it and where i have to enter the code
thanks for your answer

Ray...

Where’s the help section? You have this coded into the app, but going to the website immediately brings you back to the homepage.

Ricky...

It’s pretty, but is there any content aside from the main page? The help menu just points to the website, but I can’t see a FAQ, or other documentation.

This IS a serious query, BTW- my vision is crappy and Safari sometimes “disappears” links when the text is enlarged enough that I can see it.

Danil...

I’ve downloaded the software for trying. And I’ve checked how some torrent works. I’ve downloaded 700Mb file and… it starts again from 0! Is it a trial version joke? Say NO please – I really want to pay for this software!

Victor...

Well, I got the download and key tonight. Nice bit of software, but being new to torrent I went to read the help file…. No help, just goes to your homepage. Cane we have a (n online) help file please?

My questions:

1. What do the stars indicate under Swarm?
2. What is the sed ration?

Thanks

John...

Very professional!! Think it’s awsome you’re doing this for OS X. If I like it I’ll definatly move to the Pro version.

Keep up the good work!

oscar...

Hi I have windows can I play Xtorrent in windows? or must I have Mac OS X?

tom...

when i use xtorrent, and i click on help, it links me to the website. this would be ok, if there was any help link at all on the website.

thanks, tom.

Zachary...

I was wondering if you use a program to make your websites or do you code them by hand.

Trevor...

Dark gray text on a black background?? The What’s New link and the copyright footer are almost illegible.

Evgeni...

I am missing FAQ section – specifically, I was looking to see if xtorrent uses upnp to automagically open my MacOSX (built-in) firewall and portmap my home router (netgear or linksys).

most of us, downloaders, using broadband connections, which is almost always fronted by some wifi BHR (broadband home router). it’s a royal pain in the softplace to set things up by hands over and over again, especially knowing that azureus has upnp support.

does xtorrent use upnp, and if not are there plans for adding it? thanks, -e

thomas...

where do i put my activation code? for the pro version.

Eneko...

Great Site!! I really like it. Keep the good work on the site and all your amazing applications :) I paid for Xtorrent (plus the lifetime upgrades) and I’m very happy with it.

Bye!

whytie...

i need help cus i cant get mine to work and its annoying cus ive actually purchased pro. it wont connect.. there is no help section on the website

Charles...

XTorrent’s help doesn’t.
1) isn’t a help file; it’s a pointer to the XT page.
2) that page doesn’t contain any help.

You have paying users: taking the time to write a help file would be good.

For instance: what does the mosaic on the bottom right of the transfer window *really* indicate? Is it filled randomly? Or is there a very particular pattern to it? If you have a multi-file download, can it be linked to anything, or is it essentially eye candy – another form of the transfer bar?

Stuff like this would be useful to have in, say, an introduction file. And of course a help file resident on the machine would, well, help.

Matt...

Sorry to come through blog to ask this.

I have already sent an email about my error when registering and at the moment I can’t activate Xtorrent.

I gave the wrong email address, therefore have had no activation code.

If I haven’t heard anything in five days i will cancel the order -shame the product looks ace.

Cheers

Matt

Debbie...

I like it, but I really miss the option to give feedback about the application. I’m a paying user and would like to have a place where I can make suggestions. Like having percentages in the download window. I use an online calculator to see what my download percentage is, and I think that’s not right. Is there an option for that or is it just missing in the application?

Jon...

I think the new design is great. I just wish there was more content. And that everyone could comment on every post. :)

RON...

Your products kick ass. I’m so happy that I found XTorrent and Aquisition. You’ve developed a tool that powerful AND easy to use. that’s the way programs should be. For anyone at any level. Thank You!

Paul...

Did you construct those beautiful “perspective reflection” graphics by hand in Photoshop or is there some kind of tool which does that automatically?

Scott...

What does “iPod Support” mean?
I don’t see anything in the interface for it, and as there are no docs (the help menu item just points to the site), so I am curious what is meant by that.

James...

How do you make the screen shots on your web sites?
