NewsFire 1.3 (v51) is now available for download. This release corrects some navigation issues in v50 and adds a “Jump to next new item” button that is functionally equivalent to hitting the spacebar.

:) :) :)
Thanks for this release!
Dave, Thanks for the app. I’m a happily registered user…
I’m not sure if it’s possible, but I’d really like to see news fire NOT scroll the list when new items come in.
I’m probably in the minorty but I often scan the headlines when I have a spare few seconds and it get’s a little frustrating when you are half way down the list and the updates start ;)
Thanks-
not about this particular beta, but im just wondering, will it be possible to add custom styles in the future? like the ones on http://ollieman.net/?page_id=56
I have no issues with this latest version. Looking great so far. I’m looking forward for the final release.
I like the new look much better. And it saves some space.
Suggestion: Maybe if you could make the mouse pointer look like the system default for menus (arrow pointer), when hovering over the “Mark All Read” button, and also over the new “Jump to next new item” button.
Dave,
Just bought the app a few days ago, very nice. What would be useful is the ability to have a Smart Feeds of those both with and without Podcasts. You can do the former now (“Item has Podcast”), but not the latter.
Thanks again,
Brian O.
Just what I needed! Thanks!
